Molins de Rei
Molins, with 65% forest land, offers a large number of itineraries in the middle of nature that combine with the Castell Ciuró, the Sant Pere Romaní Hermitage or Can Santoi, among others. In addition, it also has an important architectural heritage of different styles and periods in the heart of the city, such as the Palau de Requesens, Ca n'Ametller -with geometric sgraffito-, the Molí or the Edificio de la Federació Obrera.
It also stands out for its quite relevant cultural offer that is manifested in festivals such as the Tres Tombs, the Sant Miquel or the Fira de la Candelera. The latter, the most recognized and also considered of National Interest, was originated by Queen Isabel II in 1852 and has in its origins, an important agricultural show, which presented the vineyard as its main activity, and which has now become a popular celebration that goes far beyond the simple economic activity that originated it. Right now, this celebration offers a varied agricultural, commercial, industrial, recreational, social and cultural show adapting to social, industrial and technological changes until it ends up becoming a modern activity that at the same time, continues to preserve its original essence. It takes place every first Saturday and Sunday of the month of February.
Another festival of great importance is the Festa Major de Sant Miquel, which is celebrated on September 29, the day of the patron saint of the municipality, where it is worth highlighting the high degree of involvement of the entities of different groups in the development of this festival.
